Nimitz High School is fortunate to have a school-based enterprise (SBE), our school pet care service, Nimitz Pet Care (aka NPC). SBEs are managed and operated by students. Students will have hands-on learning with animal care skills to provide realistic and practical learning experiences. This will prepare students to pursue a career in the animal industry and reinforce classroom instruction.
Nimitz Pet Care is a major learning component in the Veterinary Science Program. The success of Nimitz Pet Care depends on the commitment of students in the Veterinary Medical Applications course, as these students are responsible for completing services for the animals as part of their coursework.
Services we offer to pet owners include: Day care, grooming/baths, nail trims, teeth cleanings, etc. We can not wait to meet you and your furry friends!
